Message from Susan Gallagher, Acting Chief Executive Victim Support Scotland
VSS is calling for your help to spread the word!
Victim Support Scotland is launching a new campaign to raise awareness of the support it provides victims and witnesses of crime across Scotland. 22nd Feb 2016 is Victims Day and from this day for one week we are asking people to talk about the work of VSS and how its helps people. Spread the word about us.
That’s all, a simple request so will you help us?
To help the campaign we would ask you do the following:
- At 12pm on the 22nd Feb we are holding a thunderclap on line. Please participate by signing our thunderclap
- Like our FB page. www.facebook.com/VictimSupportSco/
- Tweet about us:- tweet #vsscotland
- Talk with your friends and colleagues about VSS and ensure that people who may one day need us, know where we are.
Throughout the campaign week VSS will be hosting events in towns and villages, train stations and supermarkets to publicise what we do. Come along to an event or contact your local Victim support service to find out more.
A list of events is on our website www.victimsupportsco.org.uk/VictimsWeek2016, you tube videos of victims telling us their experiences, a guide to supporting us on Social Media and more information on the campaign. Our new advert will also be launched on 22nd Feb 2016.
VSS is a charity most people only know about if you need to use us. Each year we provide support to thousands of adults and young people, but we are relatively unknown.
Please support our campaign by spreading the word. You don’t know when you or a member of your family may need us.
